Traffic Information Platform (TRIP)
Land Transport Authority and Quantum Inventions Private Limited have partnered to develop a Traffic Information Platform (TRIP) that allows systems to receive and process live traffic information in a form that is useful for motorists as well as systems. Quantum Inventions has been working with LTA to develop this platform since Jan 2007.
TRIP receives raw traffic information from the data servers at LTA’s Intelligent Transport Systems Centre (ITSC) and processes it for use on maps provided by commercial vendors and for consumer applications (such as dynamic navigation and traffic advisory) and enterprise systems (such as fleet management and internal routing systems). It is converted into a machine-to-machine format and is developed in a manner to be interoperable with different systems for maximum usability.
